From Feminist Thrillers to Magical Realism: Our Full June TBR

June is one of those months that actually lives up to its promise. Longer days, a slower pace, at least in theory, and that unmistakable feeling that summer has finally, officially arrived.

This June looks a little different for us, though, because life is full in the best possible way. We’ve both got family vacations on the calendar, and then — something we genuinely look forward to every year — just the two of us are heading off on our sisters’ trip. No itinerary, no obligations, just some much-needed quiet time together and perhaps a few trips to bookstores. We cannot wait!

It felt only right, then, that this month’s reading list reflects that same spirit. There’s a mix of individual picks we’re each excited about for our own reasons, but there’s also something we’re doing together — and that one felt worth spotlighting on its own.

Wrapping Up Our June TBR

June is shaping up to be a full one — in the best possible way. Family trips, quality time, and eventually a little quiet carved out just for the two of us. Somewhere in the middle of all of that, we’ll be reading.

Some of these books will get devoured quickly. A few will be picked up in stolen moments between packing lists and travel days. And at least one of us will almost certainly add something new that wasn’t on the list to begin with — we’re self-aware enough to admit that.

But more than the individual picks, what we’re most looking forward to this month is the shared part. The sisters’ trip, the joint read, the check-ins along the way. Reading is something we each do on our own, but it’s also something that connects us — and that feels especially meaningful this month.

As always, we’ll be back to share what we finished, what surprised us, what we loved, and what quietly got bumped to July.
